I was spending time at the local hospital and I noticed that a large number of the Nurses and Doctors were over weight, not just a little fat, but I am talking morbidly obese.  You think they would know better and take better care of themselves.

I was also driving and notice there was a brush fire with several firefighters out there fighting the fire.  Several of the fireman(persons) were smoking.  You think they would get enough smoke from the fire let along smoking a cig!  And also would not a lite cig be a fire hazard?

George is a great guy. Not around often enough. Claims to want to move to NH, but he's been saying that for years.

I started this thread not to say we need laws, cause you can not protect all the stupid people with laws, just wondering why some intelligent people
do no use their heads and live longer.


And the following is typed in the most kindest way and should not be taken in any form of attack.  It is directed towards my sons and no one else.

My eldest son's wife just buried her 42 yr old uncle.  He died from cirrhosis of the liver. Left a 14 yr son. 
My eldest and his wife still "social drink".


Also I have a friend who takes heart medicine and it plainly states on the medicine, to not smoke when taking this medicine....he still smokes... ,

Firemen are notorious smokers; so are people in the respiratory field. The respiratory company that I worked for back in MN had something like a 90% smoking rate, much higher than any other field  ???

We all know the bad stuff happens to the other guy. We can name just as many smokers/drinkers alive and kicking at 85 and know that will be us.
