Do turkeys come into people's yards up here?

Pretty much anywhere you go up there you're likely to see a moose, but especially if it's a wallow - a swampy/watery area - and especially at dusk.  I've seen a number of deer around.

The weather did suck for the free family play day, but people still went!

We did see 1 live moose on 115 or something like that going to Gorham, it was neat but we were in a rush so didn't have the time to appreciate the view.  I want to see a huge moose, (without looking in the mirror  :), with antlers. :)
Yum, yum, Carrie has a boyfriend now and he just got done making delicious nachos and cheese for dinner, better than restaurants I've had them at. :)

Cool picture, Kevin!  We had a rash of house cats getting snatched in our rural neighborhood by, we suspect, a fisher cat.  We've lost three cats to either fishers or an owl (or maybe a hawk?).  Needless to say, we don't let our small pets outside anymore - not even our dog.

Rainey, one of my co-workers just missed hitting a big moose on her way to work this morning.  It ran right in front of her on Rt. 49 and she had to slam on her brakes to miss it.  She thinks it shocked the living daylights of the guy that was tailgating her, and who just missed hitting her.

I'm glad she's okay and the moose too. :)  Do they jump those little guardrails?

Moose are so stupid that sometimes they can't figure out how to get over the guardrail.  I've seen one run alongside the guardrail until it ended.  They're so big, though, that they usually can just step over the guardrail, no problem.

Which makes me wonder how they got onto the highway in the first place. :)
