Hi all,

I'm in the market for a 2 bedroom apartment in the Salem/Windham NH area. I'd like something with hardwood floors and a washer/dryer hookup for around $1000 per month (give or take a bit, depends on the property).

If any of you know of one, please let me know. Thanks so much,  :)

John has a place in Salem. I will grab the local Windham papers and post some info.

Thanks so much! I do appreciate it.

What are the local Windham papers? I've been looking on Craig's List but don't see much for Windham. Some for Salem but some of them are junk listings by those big apartment complexes, I'd like to find a landlord to rent from that I can deal with personally.

The only paper in Windham is the Windham Independant - a weekly - and I'm not evern sure that it still exists. Salem used to have the Salem Observer - not sure if that still exists either. You'd probably need to look in the Lawrence Eagle Tribune - which is actually a MA paper - or in the Union leader, which is a statewide paper.

Why Windham/Salem? You'd be far more liekly to find what you;re looking for in Manchester, which is only 15 minutes north....

Hey, now! The one time someone has expressed an interest in my town, and already the Manchvegas crowd chimes in. Next, the Keene folks will rah rah for their town, and then the thread will devolve into a discussion about beer, or economic rent now that Bill is back.  ;)

There are two local newspapers for Windham - the Windham Independent and the Pelham/Windham News http://www.areanewsgroup.com/pelhamNews.html. I think they come out on Tuesday and I will get you the information later this week (traveling Tues/Weds).

OK, I've got the papers - they arrived today.

Unfortunately, I don't see any ads or classifieds for apartment rentals. There is one at a senior center for $650/mo, and some house rentals >$1,500/month on the beach. I have not seen any larger apartment buildings in Windham, but there are lots in Salem. Maybe John can chime in if he sees this. Sorry
