figured you could use some publicity, Russel, so I entered Keene Free Press   :-D

it's really interesting how the poll seems to have a different theme each week, this one seems to be all about journalism, your likes/dislikes, trusted sources, who you see as relevant, etc...

Wake me when they do a poll for "least trusted news organization"...

Lloyd Danforth

I used to do the Zogby poll.  They always sent me the same general questions with one or two minor ones added.  I would see the results of a Zogby poll released and wonder why I was never asked about any of that?
Zogby would not respond to my questions.

Those would be the screening questions, to determine what sort of people they want, and thereby prevent you from being a part of the opinion poll's results.

I just got a Zogby poll with the following question included. See if you can spot the problem with the question:

Which of the following two statements best describes how you feel the United States should focus aid on Latin America in order to best fight the war on drugs?

Statement A: The United States should focus more of its foreign aid to Latin America on poverty alleviation and fighting unemployment in the region.

Statement B: The United States should focus more of its foreign aid to Latin America on combating drug trafficking and eliminating the cultivation of drug crops.

I choose Statement C: The United States should stop all foreign aid, and not worry about drugs in South America. Nor North America, for that matter.

That's when I stop and refuse to take the poll and call them and tell them why; NOT ENOUGH CHOICES.

The poll on health care should have had one question: Should the gov't be in charge of health care, yes or no...

Period.
