Wireless service up north?

Does anyone know if there is any wireless service a person could use in the Plainfield area?
There is an older couple I work with who is very frustrated with their dialup and they say there is no Comcast there, or DSL.

They had service with some company called Wavecomm who refuses to service them because of an argument they had.
They wonder if this is legal under the FCC.

I'm not familiar with what is avialable up north, but thought someone reading this might be.

Thanks.

Plainfield is "up north"? ???

Um I dunno, it's NorthWest of me I guess....I just know it's out there enough that there is no Comcast.

I posted something on another thread about fixed wireless service; a couple of places in Lebanon offer it, and if they are up on the top of a hill and can get line-of-sight then it might be an option.

Is it this one?

Wireless Retail   Map     2.21 miles
(603) 298-7320
298 Plainfield Rd, West Lebanon, NH 03784

Or is that cell phone? They want internet.

That's probably a cell phone place. I've never heard of them.

The provider I posted about before is segNET.

Thanks! These poor folks can't even post to their forum the connection is so slow.

Keep in mind that fixed wireless service, last time I looked at it, required line-of-sight between where it's installed and the provider's location where they have the radio transponder(s) installed. Last I looked, Plainfield didn't have too many places with line of sight to, say, West Lebanon. So you may be out of luck regardless.

It's relative
to soccer moms in Bedford who think they live in the country :)

Soccer Moms? I've never been a Mom, let alone played soccer.
Soccer Moms are working for Hillary, and you'd never catch me doing that either.   ;)
Perhaps I should ask the horses and cows up the street if they think they live in the country?
Or the moose that frequents the marsh below my street...

Well I figured I could at least try to give them some suggestions if there were any, and I thank you for your help.
I can't imagine having their speed go as low as 14.... good grief, how can one do anything with that...

Yeah, it's definitely delayed my plans to move up north. :)
