I was going to suggest an option for career politician but I see you've already covered that with "life of crime".

every one of you who answered "40+ hours a week" should really, really consider streamlining your house, food, work, electronic gadgets to one tenth of what they are now and enjoying all the free time
I feel so sorry for people who do not passionately love and believe in what they do in their jobs.

I'd do what I do now even if it paid nothing and I had to work a menial job to support myself doing it.
Well, I'd probably spend less time "managing" and more time "coding", but the objective result is the same:
a lot of time in front of a keyboard.... creating poems, written in logic-language, that create vast new abilities for humanity to support itself.

Self employed here and work about 60 hours a week with about 30 sub contractors I hire on a daily basis. No boss though, haven't had one since I was 23 which is about ten years now. I'll be running for town office in 09. We have two Liberal Dem's in there now and one other in there who adheres to the constitution, a buddy of mind is running in 08 and should win hands down, that will get rid of another one, and I'm running in 09 with my buddies help. That should be a clean sweep. The 1 who adheres to the constitution who is in there now is helping both of us achieve this goal. Our little town should be all set for a while since we are all under 45. Should be fun.

The average lifespan of a Ferengi is unknown.  For all you know, you've got centuries ahead of you.   ;)
