Hi all Im new here, my husband used to post on here from time to time. Im curious about the Ron Paul rally tomorrow and whether or not anyone in here needs V costumes? I have ten of them I got from a friend for nothing. Figured Id ask if anyone needs them. They are all size large.

I'd love one! I was promised one from someone who then left the forum in a huff.  :-\

Maybe her husband is the one who left.

I should have posted this before the rally.  damn.. I forgot.

VEPR

My hubby posted back in 06 a couple of times trying to learn more about the FSP. Send me a message if any of you want one, only have 7 left, gave a few away for Halloween. People on here seem to like the costume so who better to give them to.

I'd like one, i'll even pay you for it, is this still going on?

Friday

Gang,

I hate to poop on my own (birthday) party, but for various reasons I no longer think now is the time for this event.  Free Staters are already getting some completely undeserved negative publicity, and this event is just ripe for misinterpretation.  Let's face it, V was a murderous, fertilizer-bomb-throwing vigilante who killed the people responsible for imprisoning him...  and Free Staters are now being linked in the local press with the Browns, who repeatedly claimed to have a list of people whom their supporters would execute should anything happen to them.   :-\

I still think it's a great movie with (mostly) the right message, and this would be a fun and symbolic event, but it seems likely to do more harm than good for our cause at this point in time.

I hope you will stand with me another time.

This may be true, but it seems stuff might be blowing over already. Media has a short attention span. We've been using V masks at some of the protests in Manchester, including protests related directly to the Brown arrests and Porc Manor raid, and I don't remember seeing anyone make this connection anywhere.

I would also suggest doing this on the actual fifth of November. That's one day before the elections, too—that may or may not be a good thing.

Was there some local press last week? I thought there might have been, but I think I've completely forgotten all about it.

As for Friday's birthday, no way can we not celebrate that!

Friday

Someone IM'ed me that I should delete this from the calendar.  I chose not to do that two weeks ago.  It was never going to be a formal event with permit, speakers, etc. (some people's bullshit speculation to the contrary), just me and whoever else chose to show up.  Anyone else still can show up if they want.  Knowing this crowd, some people will.  However, I encourage you to do so at the 5th of November protest on behalf of Lauren instead.

Carry on.   :V_mask_50:
