Hello.
Bill and I will be going to the Manchester Firing Range this Sunday evening.  This is the Second Amendment Sister shooting night.  The range has Ladies night from 5:00 to 8:00pm.  There is no range fee for women on ladies night. 8)
We will be there with "a bunch" of hand guns. ;D

We would love to have everyone join us.

We are so there  :icon_pirat: (minus the WoW boy)

Ron Helwig

Do they accept Liberty Dollars?   :D

I'll be there regardless.

porcupine kate

To Ron.  I don't know if they accept liberty dollars.

To Shyfrog. I'm glad you and Shytadpole are coming.  WoW is losing out.

Yeah, what's wrong with him? He can shoot REAL GUNS...!

I don't think WoW has any guns to shoot. Have you tried bringing along a gignormous battle axe and a small assortment of evil monsters to the range? Or perhaps a box of cans of hairspray and a FSP Zippo? That might do the trick...

A long list of guns.   Don't ask why people still use swords and armor...

Since it's less than two hours away, just wanted to bump the thread.

Wish I could have stayed longer.  Had fun though.

"A bunch" should include at least one .22.  They're just fun.   :)  Glad to have helped.

I had a great time last night. Thanks to Bill and Kate for taking the time to pack up a large selection of firearms for us to try.
You aimed to please and I was pleased to aim (ouch...I know). I also think it was a good experience for Eli despite her trepidation.

I didn't take a lot of pictures, but I'll post some of them soon.

Here they are:

There's a great one of dalebert with muzzle flash I managed to capture.

Thanks for posting pictures.  :)

If only the place was closer to Keene.  :(

Nice pics Lou.

Are there any gun enthusiasts in Keene?

Ron and I are thinking about constructing a range suitable for rifles over at their property, and I don't see why we couldn't do the same thing somewhere near Keene if someone had the property.  MFR has a really onerous form to use the range (compared to VA) and it's crowded, loud, and expensive like all indoor ranges.

Considering the price of metals and components these days, it would behoove everyone to collect as much copper, brass, and lead (wheel weights along the roadside, especially around tire shops) as possible.  At some point I'd like to invest in some bullet-casting equipment, and then I can start reloading ammo REALLY cheaply, since the bullets are usually the most expensive component.

Good job everyone.
I saw a lot of positive things while at the range, including safe gun-handling, proper stance, good marksmanship, and open minded willingness to learn.
Next we need to get everyone out to an Appleseed shoot and put some rifles into their hands.

It would be ideal to just get a plot of land facing a berm.

The only problem I can think of is the winter.
Although it makes good practice to try and fire with gloves on.
