Note: There is no cure available for the virus on the file msg0001.WAV

error

The file doesn't contain a virus. Your anti-virus program is broken.

I want to meet the genius that can embed a virus in a wav file that will infect your computer when you play it.

Wow that's really helpful thanks guys. FYI to the rest of you Hotmail thinks this particular e-mail  that came from Porc 411 is a virus.

It's been done before. Thank you, Windows Media Player. Nevertheless, unless supperman15 has somehow learned to speak in computer code with people watching, this particular file contains no virus.

Probably not the right thread/forum for this but...

I tried a few days ago to do the MMS thing on my phone. I was receiving most of the messages, but not all of them. Also, I couldn't hear anything. Then I got a message stating that there were too many bounces so I would be cut off.

I'll be at TT tonight in case in person support helps.

Probably not the right thread indeed, but Verizon Wireless has been bouncing some Porc-411 messages for no good reason. I've re-enabled the two affected subscribers (you're one of them) since you didn't do it yourself.

Not to be overly paranoid, but I used to think the same about image files - jpg, gif, and the like. That was before the Windows Metafile (WMF) vulnerability/backdoor came to be known: someone could rig up an image to give them full access to your computer's resources, and it wouldn't matter what program you used to view it, netscape, paint, IE, nor any other such program.

I'm still pretty sure text files are safe. That's .txt text files.

Unless a Windows user goes with the default "hide extensions", in which case what they see as text.txt is actually text.txt.exe. Makes a big difference when it comes to double-clicking attachments.
