A nifty 60 question multiple choice test. I only got 54 out of 60(90%), I bet most people here can beat that! I need to read more :)

http://www.americancivicliteracy.org/resources/quiz.aspx

From the site:

The overall average score for the approximately 7,000 seniors who took the American civic literacy exam was 54.2%, an "F." That is consistent with the overall average of 53.2% posted by seniors last year. Not one college surveyed can boast that its seniors scored, on average, even a "C" in American civic knowledge.

Harvard seniors scored highest, but their overall average was 69.6%, a "D+."

  I is udjumacated!

58/60
Missed the "man cannot know things," which I had never heard of, and disagreed with the #58 Fed question so much that I missed the answer they wanted.

Overall an OK test, but I disagreed with the "correct" answer quite a bit - like calling the US a limited democracy instead of a republic.

53/60, But I might want to argue some answers. ;D

You answered 50 out of 60 correctly — 83.33 %
Average score for this quiz during September: 74.9%
Average score since September 18, 2007: 74.9%

You can take the quiz as often as you like, however, your score will only count once toward the monthly average.

I didn't review the explanation of the answers.

Woo-hoo! 58/60.  8)

I agree some of the questions were poorly worded, though. Particular the one where the correct answer to "What form of government was established by the Constitution?" is "indirect democracy".  ::) Federal Republic!

KBCraig - how did you raise such a smart kid in Texas?

To make it even more impressive, he lives in Arkansas and goes to public school there.  ;)

Braddogg

The method for enacting that federal republic is indirect democracy.

58/60. The answer to the fed question that they have is wrong. A purchase of bonds by the Federal Reserve does not necessarily increase the volume of commercial bank loans. However, that is the least wrong answer, I guess - none of the others make any sense, even though I picked one of them. The other one I missed was about the Cuban missile crisis.
