Hi Lauren!  What date are you planning this trip on?  The trees where I live, (Campton), are starting to change but haven't gotten to the WoW how beautiful part yet even though I think trees are amazing everyday. :)

We just went to Polly's Pancake Parlor for breakfast today (Sugar Hill). There are nice colors there now though not peak. Another week should do it. Rte 116 from Rte 10 to just before Rte 112 junction was looking good.

Where is Rte 116 and Rte 112, I mean what town is it by?  I'm thinking from what I'm seeing out of my window right now that it'll probably be another couple weeks for peak colors.
Last year I drove up to Littleton on I-93 and it was like I was going to drive right into the trees I guess because they were so colorful compared to the road.  I don't know and I'm probably not explaining it very well but it made me dizzy when I was driving.  Very beautiful though! :)

I went out to Kezar Lake today (sutton NH).. just starting to turn colors.

We were on Rte 116 from N. Haverhill to just before the junction of 112 in Easton. Rte 112 is the Kancamagus Hwy.

We then took Long Pond Rd to Glencliff through the White Mountain NF - dirt road about 9 miles long connecting 116 and 25. This is a nice forest ride.

I've definitely been wanting to do this.   :)  The hard part with my work schedule is getting it done.

Where did you plan on meeting ?there is a park and ride at exit 23  and next door is a gas station to fill the tanks ,collers and bellies ,then we could caravan through meredith up to conway across the kanc and then back down 93 to exit 23 real nice day trip. plus all the summer people are gone and unless we get torrential rains the leaves should be around peak. Rochelle

*gasp* you're planning on doing this on a day that I have off!

I have a minivan but the kids will probably want to come if we go so that leaves me with 2 possible seats.  I drive really slow and some people say my driving scares them but I'm still alive so I will check this out with Rick and see if that date is okay.

I know Rick and I are planning on doing a whale watching weekend for our belated birthday presents to each other so I have to see when he has plans for that but this sounds really cool. :)

That sounds great, Joe.
I'm glad we have a native to help us.
