Because every time I ask if I've paid already, nobody answers.  ::)

Because the snail mail I get from the party is still addressed to "Rob Helwig".  :dontknow:

Because 8 am is just too frakkin early  :P

Awll hell I'm not going to be there at 8am either.
The actual Party Business doesn't start till 1:30 pm anyway!

That's the weekend before elections, and I'm volunteering to lit drop for a flinty, conservative old-timer who has a real shot at getting on the City Council in Concord. It will be awesome if he gets on -- he'll want to curtail all the fiscal irresponsibility of the City  ;D  I'll make a separate thread about that.

Anyway, attending a Party Meeting while Rich Tomasso is present to enforce Mason's Parliamentary Procedure is training that's worth every penny of the entry fee! Anybody who attends this and pays attention can walk out with formidable weapons to use in House Committee Combat-fu!

All emails and phone calls to the party are answered promptly and courteously.  I'm not aware of you ever having asked whether or not you paid the convention fee (answer: no).  I do recall you asking me verbally, in a crowded bar, when I was a LITTLE preoccupied with other things (like, organizing a fundraiser?!) whether or not your membership was currently up to date.  Yeah, like I have the expiration dates of over 100 people memorized.  ::)  Answer to your question: your membership expired months ago.

You never mentioned the misspelling in your name before.  I just fixed it.

Thank you for your "support".

P.S. Your membership expiration date is printed right there above your name on the newsletter.

I never pass up a chance for bacon.

There had better be bacon.

Bacon. Check.  And a buffet, no less.

I know, 8:00 is early.  I was trying to keep the fee low by doing the two earlier meals rather than the two late ones.
