Ed and Elaine Brown were arrested, and are both in jail.
This is a sad day, and we will continue to fight on for them.
Ed and Elaine were and are right in their fight with the IRS and the government.
We must show them support, and we will win!
This fight has just begun.
I am,

George Vreeland Hill

Thanks!
I'm just upset about this.
This is bad.
I can't believe it.
We MUST fight for them.
We have only begun.

George.

I saw on the news this morning that WMUR's website will be having a live interview with the sheriff at 10 AM.

I was very sad to hear about this as well.
The fed has no right to tax income. Its sad seeing someone get shafted by a corrupt government. Sadder still that most people will cheer their arrest  :-[

They probably went outside. Having a nice BBQ maybe. Then "Oh shit, tranquilizer darts!"

I was under the impression the arrest was at night.

Here's my guess on how it went down.  The feds were watching the house (after studying the Brown's behavior for weeks) and waited until all the lights were turned out and Ed and Elaine were in bed.  Watching with thermal imaging they were able to see Ed and Elaine in their bed and then waited a period of time to assure the were both asleep.  Feds then cut their way in threw a window or maybe picked the lock on the door entering the house very quietly.  A group crept their way into the Brown's bedroom and blame... the pounced on them before they even knew what hit them.

As I predicted from the start... they waited until support died down.  It's getting cold out so the woods don't have people camping out.  Supporters went home to their families and the hype died down so no one was there to defend as everyone claimed there were going to do in the beginning.

Only if the Browns go to bed at 7pm and are asleep by 7:45pm. I guess it's possible.

But if we're going to hear the whole story tonight why bother speculate?

Ed and Elaine Kidnapped by The Fed's.

According to the mainstream media Ed and Elaine Have Been "arrested" without incident.

The Union Leader however reports that: U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier said that the two did not surrender. At this point and time the Feds are not releasing any details on the reported "arrests".

According to Fox News: Details on the reported "arrest" will be provided in a news conference at the federal courthouse in Concord NH on October 10th 2007.

It is currently not clear how the couple who did not surrender were kidnapped without incident.

Call these numbers and DEMMAND release of the Browns!

U.S. Marshall''s office 603-225-1632
Sheriff Michael Prozzo 603-863-4200
John Lynch NH State Governor 603-271-2121

*snatched from myspace.  Oct 10 i guess is when we hear details of how they captured 2 old folks.

as always, let's focus on what we can do, limited tho that may be.

I'd just say get to your nearest fed facility at first oppty and wave a sign.   if you're out of state make calls to non emergency numbers.

I was down at the Concord Fed Courthouse today, but I didn't wave signs or anything. I feel weird doing it alone, not that it ever really feels normal. I just put a 'FREE ED BROWN" homemade sign in my rear windsheild. The large police/security presence watched as I drove by.

May have nothing to do with the courthouse, but one block away, at the intersection of Pleasant and State St in Concord, there are four cameras mounted on the traffic lights, watching all four roads. Creepy...

Good for you, that's a great idea if you don't like holding signs!  Cameras are popping up all over, even where I moved from, (a tiny town in Delmarva), there were cameras on the traffic lights.  ::)

Many of us still do not pay fed income taxes. :)
I think Ed and Elaine's stand has actually emboldened many others.
Arresting them only shows us the nature of the state.

I just finished reading the Wikipedia article on Ed and Elaine and it really makes them sound more like religious nuts instead standing up for their Constitutional rights. Also, there's a link to an IRS document at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-utl/friv_tax.pdf that supposedly shows that it is law that we pay taxes. Don't get me wrong, I'm behind Ed and Elaine's freedom, but what's the truth here? If they're in prison for religious reasons, then I can't stand behind them.
