Does anyone up this way want to plan an Ed & Elaine protest?

Rick could make some signs, we just need a date, time, & place.  I'd like it if there could be a big or medium turnout so we'd get more people's attention on the subject.   PM me or call me if interested!

Of course this would be a peaceful gathering. :)

I can be available at anytime tomorrow (Sun. the 7th) provided there is some advance notice.  I am coming from Keene.

What location do you think would be good?  Plymouth?  Rick's ready to make the signs I just think the more of us the better, don't you?

I can show up anywhere in NH tomorrow with a little advance notice.  My personal opinion is that Concord or maybe Manchester would be the best choices, for the sake of publicity and turnout.

I have my camcorder all ready if we want to video it and send it somewhere too! :)  I think if we spread out from southern NH to Northern that will be good because I'm not to sure how many people up here are involved or even know what's going on so at least we'll be able to let them know.  What do you think?

The question is, will we get a large enough turnout to be noticed if we spread out?  I would think that a large protest in a central location would get more publicity, and better turnout as well -- people tend to be more attracted to something big.

Yeah, that's true!  I wish we could get a big turnout from one end of NH to the other but your probably right it won't happen. Big it is then!  If we do this tomorrow in Concord, when & where?  Do you think we will have a big turnout there?

Here are my thoughts:

The only place in Concord that comes to mind for me is the federal building.  Others might have a better suggestions.

I had more ideas in this post, but decided it would be better to just send them in a private message to you  :)

For those who may be spooked by the feds' intimidation tactics yesterday at 412 Central and Murphy's Taproom, I would like to point out that banding together and standing up to them at this time is the best thing we can do for the cause of freedom.  Scattering and retreating only hands them victory on a silver platter.

I am prepared to stand my ground even if they plan to drag me away to jail for it.  If I am questioned by them for showing up at a peaceful protest, I will not answer their questions or comply with any demands relating to such unwelcome interrogation.  Anyone who is not ready to take such an all out stand can still help tremendously by just being there to demonstrate solidarity, as well as videotape or otherwise act as a witness to any encounters that may take place.

The timeless words of General John Stark have never rung more true:  "Live free or die - death is not the worst of evils."

I started the thread under "Lakes".  Can somebody help me move it to General Discussions please?

Ok  :D

Thanks! :)  If it works out and you can come, I can bring all of those books if you want me to.

Not exactly sure when you're planning on doing it, but it's possible.  We already had plans for tomorrow.

I saw that the NHfree calendar is pretty full for tomorrow so I wondered if this would work out at all.  Originally I wanted to see if anyone up this way wanted to do it but it doesn't seem like it. If we can get enough people for tomorrow it was going to be around 1 pm.

What's your opinion on the size of a crowd for effectiveness in letting people know what's going on?  Rick and I wouldn't mind holding signs up this way maybe we could talk to anybody that asks us what we're doing and why and then maybe we can all plan for a bigger demonstration, (is that the right word?), in Concord at a different time?

I know it's pouring down rain here right now too, I hope it doesn't do that tomorrow.  Just let me know and thanks Kat! :)

Raineyrocks

I not going to do the protest today because I think it should probably be more planned so I'm going to talk to some people and plan this within the next 2 weeks hopefully! :)
