The Central Government has long abused its position and given itself unlimited powers in stark repuditation of the US Constitution, and that the powers were enumerated by the sovereign States, it is time for the sovereign State of New Hampshire to secede from the Central Government and revert to its original form.  As the Union was voluntarily created by, it can be voluntarily dissolved, and no Union can last with its subjects being held at gunpoint.  As the Union, comprising over 50 States and Commonwealths, each with their own character and interests, and that such a Union can truly represent no State when its powers are plenary, each State or several States must secede in order to gain its citizens natural life and liberty.  We must dissolve the political chains that hold us down, while remaining commercially connected with those States who choose not to secede, as well as other Nations.   New Hampshire must reclaim its Sovereign character from those who seek to put her under yoke, and it is the duty of every free man to agitate for secede from the enroaching and usurping powers of the Central Government and the Union it claims to represent.

I support secession, but not right now. The time is not right, and we are not strong enough. Soon perhaps. It is my belief that in order to achieve true Liberty, it will be necessary to secede. Until then, we can improve our lot here in NH, and gain more strength.

I think it's absolutely amazing that Mr. Secession Now shows up here at the time when the FBI is visiting us.  Amazing.

(I edited the poll, btw)

Dave Ridley

I voted no;  but the idea does seem to be popular around new england these days.

Russell Kanning

I voted "yes".....if NH were to suceed.....we would be a lot more free. :)

Lloyd Danforth

Seceed, then declare war on the U.S., claim a nuke bomb program, get foreign aid from U.S. and get rid of those pesky property taxes!

Nah, sounds too much like a movie plot from the '60's.

Succession, NO!---Resistence, YES!

Russell Kanning

alanM can play 3 roles:
the governor
shorty
president hillary

President Hillary? Hmmm.... What's my motivation?

A pity Peter Sellers is no longer with us... but if this film goes well with AlanM in three roles, AlanM would become the obvious choice if there's ever a Dr. Strangelove remake.

I voted No because frankly I don't want to.
The US may be moving towards a non free society... that is our job to move it back to being free--nonviolently.

I can do "strange"! It's one of my better roles.  ;D

I believe Peter Sellers was the Prime Minister of the little country that declared war on the U.S. in the "Mouse That Roared".
I loved Sellers.  Although he is known for his later stuff, he was in a bunch of earlier B&W English productions that were great

I've met you before Kat, don't be going all paranoid.  Although I have to wonder if using the word "Underground" might not be suggestive of non-legal activities.  Weatherman Underground, hrm...  Anyways, the right of secession was taken as a given by all the founding fathers and right up to and during Lincoln's dictatorship, so I don't see why the FBI would care, as there's nothing illegal about it.

I think that's a lost cause.  We can't move an entire Empire to freedom if they don't care to.  We should focus on nonviolently acting on our right to secede from the Union which tramples on our rights, which is alot more probable than convincing everyone else to go along with us.

Actually, my father has had some health issues lately, so I went to see him in the hospital, and he had a wheelchair by his bed. Since it was the only place to sit, I sat in the chair, and before long, was doing Dr. Stranglove imitations....  ;D

And what NOT use underground? Works for the London subway system. :D
