You better not have! :P I guessed on the Gulf of Mexico question and one of the word questions and got lucky.

I went back to see what questions I got wrong.

2% was from picking the smiley with the propeller hat?!? :hopmad:

1% from saying there are 8 planets.

1% from finding only 7 Fs in "OFTEN, FISH FIND FOOD AFTER FIFTY YEARS OF SWIMMING THE CHANNEL OF RALPH."  I completely missed both OFs!!  :BangHead:

Funny how that doesn't add up to 3%.  Guess there's a curve built in.

I was wondering how old that quiz was, and whether I got penalized for Pluto's demotion... I said 8 planets too.  I also picked this emoticon to represent myself:  :BangHead: ; don't know what, if anything, that did to my score.

Add the numbers from 1 to 10.  1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10=55

The "Gauss" Method I believe is realizing that 1+9, 2+8, 3+7, 4+6 all equal 10, then add the 5 and 10 to get 55.  Apparently Gauss figured out a similar trick for the numbers 1-100 (but adding 1+99, 2+98, etc.) when he was 7 years old! :o

Edit:

It is actually adding 1+10, 2+9, etc. for five sums of 11, and 11x5=55.
