I took a round trip through NH that started in Peterborough, went to Rochester, up to Conway, across to Lincoln, over to Bath, down to Claremont, through Keene, and back to Peterborough.

Incredible colors! Photo editing or camera? Either way, nice work and thanks for sharing :)

On digital cameras, especially the point and shoot ones where you have little control over exposure and aperture, if there is an option to set the White Balance in the menu, set it to something other than auto. By playing around with the camera settings, you can get some interesting results.

Occasionally, I'll adjust the exposure after the fact.

All photos shot with a 5.0MP Olympus 5050Z

I need a new digital camera. Is this what you'd recommend?

It's ancient (3 years) in comparison to new cameras available. I love it but they discontinued the series if I recall.
I recommend http://www.dpreview.com/ for all the latest. Tons of info..to the point of overwhelming.

Well if yours is ancient then mine is neanderthal!

I could just go to apple.com and see what they recommend, but I sometimes find that my fingers are more compatible with other brands...ease of use is a plus for me -- being a MacHead I rarely RTFM.   ;)

Oh, and I wondered if you'd care to 'donate' one of those scenes for me to crop into a header for a new site I'm making? I have stock photos but none are as nice and not real shots of NH...

Good lord, I had forgotten how beautiful it is up there.

Nice framing.  8)

Really nice pictures, thanks for posting! :)

We went hiking today and my husband's digital Cannon camera fell down the cliff into a creek, he's very upset.  We got it out of the water but don't know if it will ever work again. :-\

Aaaack...noooo  :(

Under warranty?

My Olympus was stolen and gone for a whole year. A friend's daughter had taken it at a Tae Kwon Do class and played with it until it broke.
Her mom found it a year later and gave it back, but it wasn't in working condition. I looked online and found a recall for this particular model that described EXACTLY what it was doing. Sent it off and it came back like new  ;D

Probably using a blowdrier on it would be the best thing. Clean water if dried out before things corrode often doesn't do much harm. Also I used the Canon repair service recently and was pleased with the results. Give them a call, the number is in your paperwork or online.

great pictures :)  I especially like the ones with the intense green fields against the fall colors.

No, it's not under warranty.  I'll have to check out recall lists just in case, thanks! :)
