Secession doesn't have to be based on some gov't boundary.  If several activists purchased property in very close vicinity in a lighly policed area, you have the start of your own 'nation'.  One based on property rather than territory.  Property ownership is important, as one large owner can buckle under the federal and state thumbscrews, but several landowners are less likely to do so.
any thoughts?

I would think secession only has relevance to those engaged in the political process.
After all, what are you proposing to secede from, and what exactly will have seceded?

Tom Sawyer

Personal secession, then cooperation with others outside the system. Not along geographic lines, the internet made that possible.
