FSP counter is really moving

I wasn't around for the early days of the FSP when dozens of people joined everyday. But it seems like since I have been involved the counter is moving forward at a better clip now than it ever has.
8055 and it seems like we were just at 8000 and then 7900 not so long ago.

We gotta keep the pressure up.  We should 100% hit 9000 in 2008 but if lots of people have some effort (NH people working on NH issues that will get press) and people outside of NH... spread the word we could hit 10,000 by end of year 2008.  It would be tough but it is doable.

I think my number was 8046 . . . but I read somewhere that a few "clowns" had infiltrated and anflated these figures. Not that any figures matter because, ultimately, the only figures that matter will be those reflecting who the next Prez will be and subsequential supporting offices/officers.

In other words . . . I digitally signed the initiative but I'll be supporting and voting in Mass.

I am sure that there are plenty of people who signed up and have no intention of moving or their lives changed and they might not move now.

I think that the 500+ that are here now (along with non signer natives) are doing ok... imagine what another 500 or 1000 would do?
And then when people see what is going on... even more will sign up and then move.

10,000 by the end of 2008 is my goal.  I think it's completely doable with things like Free Talk Live's growth and the Ridley Report.  Plus, there's the news being made in NH.
What do you mean by "your" goal, Just curious how such an ambitious project can be in the hands of one person.

yea ... it is picking up .... the fsp signups had gotten down to about 10/week but it has been going up for months now

the people actually moving is what encourages me .... and that is going faster and faster :)

That is what matters to me.
I never looked at the counter. I knew I was going to move and it wasn't going to be determined by a counter-ma-jig.

If that encourages you then this might do moreso.

Many people I know have been planning on New Hampshire for years.
I'd also like to add that, just because a person comes from a state known for its malfunctions, does NOT mean that the person wishing to come to "your" state has the same inclinations . . . i.e.: I've read on many posts at sites occupied by this movement that perhaps people are not made as welcome as most say they are.

In other words. I come from Massachusetts. MA is known for exceeedingly bogus laws concerning weapons, etc. Just because a person from MA is coming does not mean that we hold the values as the laws of the state.

By the way, I also have family living in New Hampshire . . . .

This is what I get excited about, is seeing that counter go up.

I think the fsp will always draw more heavily from really bad statist states. It makes sense. We will also get many more from Mass ... since they don't have to go far.

Porcupine_in_MA

MA easily qualifies as one of the worst, if not THE worst, big government state of all of them. California, RI, IL, WA, NY and NJ always vying of course for that title.

I'm also very familiar with New Hampshire and their tactics . . . and lemme tell ya . . . it's no picnic wherever you go. But I agree . . . Mass is by far the worst I have lived and I've lived in just about every state . . .

Yeah, I know its no libertarian paradise in NH but its a lot closer to it than here as you know.  ::)

"My" goal in that I think it's achievable and hope it happens.  Nothing official or anything.  I'll of course work to make it happen, like I, and many of us, always do.

add me too.... i think it is a worthy goal.

I moved from Massachusetts, too. What's important is that us ex-Massholes are leaving that state to escape its politics, whereas most are not: They're coming up here for the nonexistent taxes, or the lower property values, but then they bitch about all the nonexistent government services.

Russell Kanning

I have not met a recent mover from mass. that complained about a lack of services ... but maybe I just hang out with great people. :)
