jeeesh~! All I want to do is look for a piece of property. Maybe do a little hunting and fishing. Play a little music. Do some artwork. Never gave it much more thought than that seeing as it doesn't matter to me where I've been, one state has some pluses and minuses and others have their's as well. Swap one shitty place for another. They're ALL the same. Nobody is gonna be comfortable no matter where you choose to bed down.

Just seems to me this whole thing is turning into an illegal alien thing.
I also see a lot saying come on up and vote OUR way. Just get outta my sight after you're done. The only people that really want "outsiders" coming into New Hampshire are this project. Most don't want people coming to New Hampshire for fear of loosing their jobs to "outsiders".

Rest assured folks . . . this MASSHOLE creates his own income~! Thanks for the services offer though. But I would and never have taken a DIME~! Even when I needed it~!

I have not met a recent mover from mass. that complained about a lack of services ... but maybe I just hang out with great people. :)

I wasn't talking about freestaters. That article is about how southern New Hampshire is being slowly repopulated by people moving up from Massachusetts and bringing their Massachusetts politics with them.

the people actually moving is what encourages me
Ditto.

I honestly don't care if 20,000 people "sign up" tomorrow. Who cares? That's all just talk as far as I'm concerned.

I care about people who are actually here doing stuff.
That's where the rubber hits the road.
That's how New Hampshire becomes more attractive to more people to come join us here in that wonderful virtuous cycle...

That's how things actually change.

This article claims that those coming from MA to Southern NH actually trend Republican.  It states most of the new Dems are coming for tech jobs in central NH and that the shift in power has more to do with independents being disgusted with Washington Republicans than anything.

QuoteMany wrongly assume the state's increasingly blue political tint is due to hordes of liberals moving over from Massachusetts, he said. Many Bay Staters indeed cross the border - a three-bedroom house in North Andover runs about $100,000 more than a similar abode 10 miles away in New Hampshire, he said - but those voters tend to be Republicans fleeing the liberalism of Massachusetts.

Bay State Republicans tend the stay that way, and are contributing to the GOP voting patterns along New Hampshire's southern border, Smith said, while out-of-state Democrats and left-leaning independent are adding their voices to communities in central and upper New Hampshire, making those regions more Democratic in their voting patterns.

Excellent. Color me shocked that the Union Leader printed bad information.

"Republicans" like Mitt Romney?

JonM

Only in MA is Mitt a Republican.  Tom Finneran, former house speaker in MA who hosts a radio show on WRKO in the morning is a Democrat but sounds like a lot like a libertarian.

I wasn't either. I haven't met any mass migrants ... who want NH to become like Mass.

Lets not forget that ALL politicians will change into whatever party suits the times or issues. It doesn't matter if it's republican, democrat, sociorepublicrat, or any other concoction. They are all the same connection to elitism and the banks. The new world order . . . sound familiar?

"Our" favorite candidate for prez is running on the republican platform. Ron will most likely ride in a $350,000 balloon before he takes on the elite owners of the media outlets.

It's also peculiar to me that the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire isn't mentioning Ron . . . http://www.lpnh.org.  Haven't read too much about the guy their backing for the LParty either. What's his name? Oh  yeah . . . George Phillies (from Mass) is running for prez  . . . no wonder everyone is confused.

Seems to me the entire race is a snowjob. Seems to me, according to lessons learned through history, it won't matter who gets in . . . the criminal elite will continue to run the show.

And don't balk at me for rehashing this crap . . . I'm still voting for Ron Paul. I just don't expect anything within the entire US of Aholes to change . . . ever.

Porcupine_in_MA

Yeah, and Phillies behavior at the last Liberty Forum didn't impress me in the slightest. Why would I want to support someone who acts like a brat?

yea ... it is picking up .... the fsp signups had gotten down to about 10/week but it has been going up for months now

I know you hate politics, but...I think we have Ron Paul to thank for some of this.  He has awakened and energized the spirit of liberty in a large number of people.  I and others from this forum have been trolling the various Ron Paul forums soliciting support for the FSP -- and there's been a lot of positive feedback.  I bet FTL has seen a substantial increase in the number of listeners over the past few months as well.

Politics 1, Russell 0.   ;D

Ditto.  The activity down here is drawing attention.  That is feeding the desire for more movers.  Who then join the activity.  I was once worried about the fsp 'failing'.  I am no longer worried because if the fsp as an organization disappeared today, there are groups and individuals ready to fill the void.  This forum alone is virtually copying the fsp, with a certain 'out of the system' flavor to its copies.  Then there is ftl bullitin, the bloggers, the media, of course the activism.  I am more and more pleased as time passes.
