I actually caught the tail end of the live broadcast.  I thought you may have said you were to be on it, but I had completely forgotten.  You were far better than the normal guy, Fred Parcells?  BTW, did they have you running the show?  I heard you make statements similar to the ftl show that make me think you were the one controlling the phones.  :D
It was interesting the part that I heard.  None of us either knew that you would be on, or forgot, so none of us called in, but you still had people calling to defend you.  :)

Great work, but sucky audio. I hope that buzz wasn't going out on the air!

Oh, and again: great job!

The audio was recorded directly from my AM receiver, so it could have been worse.  I spent a few minutes adjusting the antenna before I left in the morning.  I imagine some of that noise is coming from my electronics in the studio and the rest of it is just due to a relatively small antenna and the nature of AM radio.

I was very pleased about that considering the normal callers to the show are all political junkies.

Ah, I suspected this. It did sound like I was listening to an AM broadcast.

It is interesting that a couple callers couldn't understand that people would hear about a thing like the FSP and then move on their own volition with no outside help. We move because we are passionate about the ideas of more liberty. People are so used to other people only doing something because someone else told them too. Crazy.

It seemed hard for some people to accept that it's happening mainly from an idea, not from central planning.

I just got done listening to it and I'm surprised about the amount of hostility when Ian hadn't even given his viewpoints on much at the beginning. Seemed like some of the folk already didn't like him before he even got on the air.

I have called the show number of times and Free Staters are pretty visible around here.

Oh my, this was so classic.  At first I was disappointed that Ian was being so "guest-host"-like.  But soon he got in his groove and took control of the situation.  Those callers who were so seething with fury they couldn't even find the words to express themselves were too funny.  I hope this station picks up FTL weekdays.  Sounds like a small market with some hilarious callers.

I had to chuckle a couple of times when Ian said, "Okay, thanks for calling" (which would normally be the final goodbye on FTL), but the caller kept right on talking.  ;D

He was so unconvinced that it wasn't some type of $$-based moving scheme that he kept asking the same thing over and over and I think at one point almost thought Ian was a liar.. LOL

I kept thinking, it's an idea and people are just thinking it is a good one and doing it, or not, then doing the same thing you would do when they get here, and that is whatever they want as far as getting involved or not. I don't know what the hell they are afraid of...they should be more afraid of the limousiners coming in from NY, Vt, Conn, etc..

People don't pay attention to facts, just perceptions sometimes. You'd think they'd be happy that people want to roll back government. For years, NH loved people who wanted to roll back government which is why we moved in '89. We have too many Masstransplants now that are too comfy with entitlements and want to turn NH into the other states that surround it.

What the hell was up with the guy who didn't want to talk to Ian but proceeded to bash the hell out of him to the other host and actually acted offended and called Ian rude when Ian had the audacity to respond to the man's abuse??   >:( ::)...what a serious fuck-head.

That was really too weird. And very rude and condescending. Like the guy was afraid to take him on directly...,
