I do own weapons, should the need arise, and I have ear-plugs and noise-canceling headphones.

This makes me want to listen to my Rammstein and Marilyn Manson CD's. 

Rammstein + Manson = Mannheim, as in Steamroller, as in happy happy joy joy synthesizer Christmas music. (It actually doesn't suck, at least for the first dozen repetitions.)

Bonus points because Mannheim Steamroller creator Chip Davis was also "C.W. McCall", responsible for the 1975 hit "Convoy".

My old lady wants to get our tree ALREADY. I've got to pick my battles so in other words, I expect to be tasked with going to the tree lot and picking up a tree any day now.

Lots of negative energy here.

I am not complaining. I just learned to make my own choices everyday of the year and not get bogged down in external influences and other's expectations. I like a little secular merriment. I carried  four small boxes of decorations down from the attic over the weekend. Two under each arm. Plenty. Having a lot with too many pine trees, we may just go hack one down and bring it back home. Don't do shopping, but I may log on and order some ridiculously impractical gift for my granddaughter.

Oh, this is the whining forum. I do hate made for tv Christmas movies that show green as July trees and grass.
