Of course it's about oil. Always was. Always will be. Do you see them "liberating" Tibet?

It's not only about oil.  Don't forget getting the public used to "regieme change" and such.  Tibet isn't a good target, since they can't claim that Tibet wants to attack us, without raising too many eyebrows.  But the Middle East is such a mess (wonder how it got that way?) that they can always find some fanatic ranting about The Great Satan, and use that as a justification to interfere.

They've done such a thorough job of it that the vast majority of the public can't even think in terms of non-interference.  The public tends to just debate about what type of interference is best...

One thing that needs to be clarified here is it's not so much about claiming the oil for themselves, but denying access to the oil to their competitors (mostly China).

Or Pakistan, never mind liberating a nuclear armed country, it would be nice if they stopped egging him on behind closed doors because he is doing what they want.

Well, George Bush is a Christian.  Maybe what he means is he's liberating their souls from their bodies in the Middle East . . . .

The Kannings and I were driving thru Warner after visiting Bill & Kate. We passed  some War protesters.  One of them held a sign that said: 'Regime Change'.  We laughed about it for miles ;D
