I went to work all week...

Oh, I bought the new Futurama DVD movie "Bender's Big Score".
Futurama is the best Sci-Fi comedy out there. It's awesome to see it alive again.
Stupid Fox, they cancel all the good shows.

They told me it was the law that people had to stop and offer assistance.

Probably not a good time for civil disobedience :P

The law...
What a dumbass reason to help someone.

Too bad Lloyd you appear to have lost your demonic status (666)

As for me..whats new? I bought a 70's era truck camper for 400 bucks. I slapped it on the back of my rusted 1981 F150 and I have a home on wheels. It has a furnance, stove, oven, a lil pooper/shower and a table and sleeping quarters. Top speed up hills 40 mph with the flashers going. I must look like a real hillbilly driving this thing down the road with cowboy hat on, smoking my pipe and 100 lb. Cheeko crammed into the front seat with me. People stare at me like WTF??

Life is good huh?

Hey Kola, you need to get your butt up here to the "free state"... you could compete with me for 'Most Hardcore Survivalist' status ;)

See, the description of your living arrangements sounds eerily like my own... and here I thought I was being original ;D  At any rate, I figure if I can make the leap from sunny Florida (after enjoying that balmy climate for 13 years) to weathering the New Hampshire winters in the rear of an F150, it leaves very little excuse for the crybabies who seem to think freedom is not worth braving a little chilly weather ;D ;D ;D

Seriously though, your pickup truck is equipped with a shower?  How did you manage that?  Maybe I could do without my Y membership, after all... at least in the summertime :)

I stopped to help a little old lady that got smashed in her car yesterday.  She was OK, but shook up and confused.  She appreciated me stopping and helping her. The other car just about rolled her car, from what I saw - then the other person drove off.

That's nice!  It makes me so happy when I see people helping each other instead of turning the other way.  I've helped people find lost dogs, run errands for old ladies and all kinds of other stuff, when people would offer me money I never took it.  I would tell them it would be a sad world if everyone took money because they've helped someone.  Of course I'm not talking about when a job and price has been agreed to for a service.
I do believe in the "what goes around, comes around" too and I've been helped plenty of times when I've needed it's all a good thing. A few weeks ago I  picked up a hitchhiker, I was by myself, no kids, and I told my husband .  He got pretty angry because of all of the things that this hitchhiker could have done to me so now I gave him my solemn word to never pick up another hitchhiker. :-\

When there is a need, people can be very kind and helpful.

We were driving down our road once and we just barely noticed a heavy set woman who had slipped and fallen while wading in the creek. She had hit the rocks really hard and couldn't get out of the water. We stopped and I picked her up and helped her get back to her car. I was really concerned she might have done more damage than she was currently aware of, offered to get her to the hospital or wearever.

That was very nice! :)  Did she ever take you up on your offer for a ride to the hospital?

This really sickly old guy asked me if I could drive some things to his house that he bought at the thrift store I was at and I said only if I can give you a ride too.  I guess he thought there's no way he'd be able to get a ride too so he just asked about his things being taken there, he had a walker and only lived one block away.  He was telling me the kind of cancer he had and how out of breath he gets and stuff, poor guy, I still think about him and wish him well. :)
