I assume that those eagles are in captivity. I saw plenty of eagles in Alaska, but haven't seen them here.

I just know that fucking Ninja song is now going to be stuck in my head and come out at an embarrassing time.

TackleTheWorld

Let's flip-out together.
And be ninjas forever.

Kat Kanning

Haha, that was cute.  And I can wait to see PatK jumping around singing that song.  ;D

Questions about the flora and fauna :)

#1.  Yesterday I saw a squirrel carrying something furry up a tree - twice.  It was grey like the squirrel, being carried in the squirrel's mouth.  Do they catch mice, or was it carrying its own babies?

#2  Between Keene and Concord in the marsh there were placed cylinders covered in hay, stuck up on poles.  It looked like a tube balanced horizontally on a pole.  What's it for?  Some kind of bird habitat?

#3  (Question from Lauren)  Why do the pine trees turn brown alongside the highways?

Sorry I have no answers to the questions but I did have something else to add to this topic.

On the way to the dentist last week, I took my 12 yr. old and I  said watch really good on these 2 routes, (115 & 202) heading to Gorham because this is where dad and I saw a couple of moose.  So she said in her so upbeat positive tone ::), "sure, I'll never see a moose or anything , it just won't happen."

Well all of a sudden we saw a nice big female moose and  then about 20 minutes later we saw a male moose kind of away from the shoulder of the road across from us.  So I pulled over, (other side, I'm not nuts), and we watched him for about 10 minutes, it was awesome.  Then on the way home we saw another female moose drinking some water so my daughter was really excited and it made her day! ;D

That's so cool.  Roger and William have seen moose 3 different times, but I am never with them when it happens.
