Gloria and I saw three turkey vultures :o on 127 between Contoocook and West Hopkinton. There was the smell of skunk just before we saw them.

Friday

Today I saw a large brown ?? standing up on its hind legs. It could have been a woodchuck or <gasp> a porcupine?!?  :o

Think it musta been a 'chuck! They are everywhere. Porcs are black...and don't usually stand up like that.

There's a woodchuck living under my front porch.  'Course, this is in Maryland since I'm not in NH yet.

Anyways, he's a cute little fella.  Lately we've been playing hide & go seek, or peek-a-boo or whatever.  He pops his head out from the hole and stares at me.  I'm not sure which of us is more fascinated by the other.   :)

Well when that "cute little fella" has ate up your garden (or neighbor's) and has devoured all your flowers and such, I will tell you how to get rid of him without the use of a firearm..... >:D

Well, I'll keep that in mind.  I wouldn't mind taking him out with a silenced .22 though, if it came to that.  But he's been my neighbor for about 3 years now, and as far as I can tell, he doesn't do nearly the damage that those stupid rabbits do!   >:(

Did someone say wabbit season? ;D

I remember going hunting on opening day.  It was always 'duck season'  You heard a shot and you ducked!

Yup. Shorty always loved scuffling through the Autumn leaves.
Scuffling is not the same as shambling, but, to each his own.  ;D

We used to call it shaggin'.

I figure, whatever word you use, it's still fun.  :D
