Since We Are Winning We Can Change Definitions of Words

It occurred to me that the winner always gets to redefine words.  So I was wondering if anyone has a word they think needs to be redefined.
Like any time one has to fill out paper work and pay money to the Government that should always be referred to as a fine.  License, fee, assessment, fare, charge, cost, dues, exaction, expense, levy, duty, encumbrance, demand, tariff, tithe and tax should always be referred to as a fine.  Winchester's Building Inspector didn't like it when I referred to his 'fee for a building permit' as a 'fine for building'.

And FRNs should be, the Commode Based Money System.

Was that whining or winning? ;D  While I don't see any indication that we are winning anything, I still like the idea of making our own definitions.  I've been using the fine thing for years.

The government has been redefining words for years.  Instead of changing laws through the legislative process, government agencies change definition so that something that was both legal and harmless is illegal.  For instance, The ATF has been changing the definition of machine gun so that now a piece of folded sheet metal can be considered a machine gun.  Last year they were trying to change the definition of 'pistol' so that some pistols would suddenly become AOWs which need to be registered and given an additional tax.  They also redefined explosives recently to include any nitrate fuel mixtures, safety fuse, and gun powder.  In NH a bicycle is defined as any 2 or 3 wheeled human powered conveyance, even though it is well known that 3 wheels makes something into a tricycle.  There are too many other nonsensical definitions put out by government to list them all, but some terms have conflicting definitions in different parts of the federal laws.

Infringe should mean to violate, especially in the smallest way.

Change "tax" to "heist" and "paying taxes" to "surrendering liberty".

I suck at this game.

The fine for owning property ... and the additional fine for having a view.

Exactly.

Which are recurring fines like the fine for driving or for owning a vehicle.
