We ain't even 'officially' into the big, bad bitch yet.....
If any of you came here from the south/so.west...I would gladly have traded spaces w/ you..(but the wife shut me down on moving there many years ago)...so I'm stuck in this stinking, frozen prison....called, New England....
bundle up, warm bloods....it's gonna be a long, evil-cold ride

error

I think there's been more snow this MONTH than there was all last winter.

Yes.
I'm enjoying it.
I've been shoveling it, driving in it and walking in it.
New Hampshire is so beautiful covered in snow.

Romak

It can be like this all year long and Id love it. Nothing better than cold and snow. We close off our class 6 road at the end of our street so we dont see any cars all winter long except the one neighbor we have about 1K yards away. Nothing but fun...

alohamonkey

just got my first snowblower and I'm loving it.  makes life a lot easier . . . now I just have to worry about those ice jams or whatever they're called that are forming on my roof . . . any suggestions on how to take care of those once they form?

Your local hardware/home improvement store will have various forms of salt/ice melt.

Russell Kanning

more snow ... means prettier winter .... this will be the first white christmas in 3 years

I get tired of the cold, but I have lived in colder places.

Little Owl

Attention all socialists: New Hampshire is cold and inhospitable six months out of the year.  Its brutal, ugly, and they don't even have a government "Winter Blues" therapy program for your cat.  So don't ever move there!

NCtoNH4Ron!

I'm used to it by now (been here since Nov 12th). I just bundle up, double up on socks, etc. Driving on slush covered roads with RWD does tend to cause me an ulcer, especially downhill while curving one direction or another. Doing donuts in parking lots ALMOST makes it worth it, but not really.

DON'T put ice melt products on your roof. Buy an ice rake (long handled rake-ish device w/ a solid blade on the end)
Pull down the first few feet of snow from the roof edge w/ it
NEXT summer/fall, install roof snow melt cable.
Both of the above avail. at hardware stores

My wife shares your sentiments, except, like I continually remind her....Big difference when you're on the outside lookin' in; ie: working outdoors all f-ing day...yeah, New England winters are post-card, when you're sitting by the fire with a glass of wine, looking out the window....try being out in the sh*t for 8+ hours
loses its quaint-quality mighty quick

Wouldn't have thought of doing it, but why shouldn't you do this?

They already have the ice dams. And where did you get it was a federal offense?
