At the bottom, next to "reply" is a link marked "notify" which will turn on email notifications for a thread, even if you haven't replied to it.

I actually used it on this thread when I first saw it, since it seemed like it might be interesting.

ugg i am guilty ... i actually forgot about this

i'm having so much trouble keeping up with stories that happen right in front of me , I am starting to get neglectful of situations like this.  Anyone want to help fill the gap?    do we have contact info on this person so i could at least send a note of encouragement?
