No need to be politically correct here :D

A-politically correct is always welcome, though.  ;)

I'm an ex-Masshole myself who moved out of that state when RINO Romney passed the universal health care law requiring people to purchase health insurance.

You were never a Masshole. Being from Mass alone is not enough to make one a Masshole. It takes a certain attitude as well.

Amen to that, I spent a lot of my life living down there and I'm not a masshole (I was born in RI anyway). I don't blame NH natives for being pissed off, they have every right to be. But will they turn out and vote in 2008? If they all voted republican we could stop the socialist onslaught in its tracks but I wonder how many didn't even bother to show up last time?

Anger isn't enough. People need to get out and vote!  :)

If you're looking to get involved in the electoral or legislative side of things, check out the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance and their forum. The NHLA is reviewing and tracking legislation, seeing who votes for what, and rating state reps on how pro- or anti-liberty they are.

Yeah, you're definitely on the wrong forum if you want political activity.

I guess what i'm looking for an apex forum to build local polital, and small buisness networks to improve my life and save money!!! i work way to frickin hard for it to givit to someone who wants to rip me off. We all have talents we can use to help others.

is this the forum to find these things? Also a place to throw out some phylosophy and ideas.

The best thing i found on this thread is that some of you meet to drink BEER, Me like beer, beer and hops, hops and beer, good for soul... now thats the networking i'm used to.

I work in the Salem, Windham, Derry, Atkinson areas as a Landscaper, the job most lazy natives refuse to do! I work for upper middle class people giving them something they can not do for themselves, and for that i take pride and their money... Massholes love to spend money. What i find is that regardless of ones financial or educational state, it doesn't make them any better than anyone else, and often the condescending attitudes force a bit of spite outta me or at least heavy sarcasm.

What seems to happen in Mass is patronage and nepotism, i have fallen victim (never a victim) to a job opportunity in Mass, at a municipality, because the mayor was obligated to give the job to a friend of the Sherriff rather me, who also had family working for him too. That was the straw the broke my back, I REFUSE to work for a union which would hold me subordinate to members who might have more time in than me regardless of my motivation, responsibility, or aptitude. so f**k them and their screwed up system.

At least now i am HAPPY!

Because of the system, it takes the federal government to be in financial jeopardy before the fifty State governments are. It wasn't until recently with the aging population that this was possible. If the US discovers a way to slow or limit the Age Creep, then the system will remain status quo until world oil production begins to fall.

What has happened was that after WWII, that generation was promised benefits for their sacrifice and in turn, those ideals were handed down to BABY-BOOMERS, who then, expected things in return. After rise of unions more benefits were demanded and collective bargaining backed a polital machine mandating these "ENTITLEMENTS". Now a GEN-Xer, I see wasted resources and the affect of these values on the working class, from which Ive been raised.    And we are stuck with the bill!

No offence to our dads and granddads, but we may have to wait until our generation becomes those in control, thus raising our kids with traditional standards of responsibility.

I don't know. Our parents and grandparents taught us, so it must run deeper.

Remember that it was your dad's generation that led one of the biggest social/political revolutions history has ever seen. But look what happened as a lot of these people grew older. We need to make sure that doesn't happen again as people from our generation does become the ones "in control."

I think that it comes down to lifestyle and what everyone wants, regardless of income, education, nationality, political perspective, is comfort. We all cherish the warmth of others, friends and family, mutual respect, and knowing that eventough you dont need any help, someone is there for you. All men around the world want to be productive and able to provide for their families...in peace.

We have learned alot from our parents, many virtues...and many faults. we all must raise our children to learn our ways and be constructively critical.

Honestly, I think a lot of leftists/socialists would rather make "the rich" poorer---so they themselves do not feel envious---than improve their own or anyone else's lives.
