Hi,

Anyone know of a good midwife or a "country-type" doctor who delivers babies? We moved to the Laconia/Gilmanton area and now expecting our first child in a few months and would like to begin making arrangements outside the McHospital environment, especially after learning the truth about vaccines and the reasons why the majority of doctors refuse to have their children vaccinated. Also hospitals often apply for a SS number regardless of the parent's wishes, which we're not going to do - that will be the child's decision someday. Furthermore, they tend to separate the child and mother in the first few hours after birth, which is the most important time in the entire life of the parent/child relationship. So if you have any suggestions for a qualified and educated midwife, or small clinic recommendations we'd love to hear them!

Thanks!
Glenda and Henry

On a related topic, I have been tossing around the idea with my wife and a doctor friend about opening up a natural birthing center in New Hampshire. Any thoughts on the market demand for such a facility?

I'm done with the need for a birthing center, but if they combined it with common sense family medicine, and a cash discount, we'll be clients.

My wife and I just had our 2nd in Nov. at the birth cottage in milford.  Our Midwife was Natanya Champney, who was apprenticed to the midwives at milford, but moved at the beginning of this year to the north country, near the white mountains.
Her website is http://asitwasmidwifery.com/

All midwives have been forced to report all births to the state/fed authorities. Your newborn baby will be recorded, documented and assigned a SSN.

If have questions concerning the vax issue feel free to email me.

good luck!  :)

You could always give a fake name, pay in cash and abscond with your child before any identifying characteristics could be recorded.

Wow, that's hardcore. We don't have to do that in Ohio yet.

Congratulations on the new baby.

I don't know how they did it.  But I know there are several babies born to Freestaters in NH and those babies don't have SSN's.

If you have a midwife and homebirth delivery, some states (I am unsure which ones) give a parent the option to wait to apply for a ssn but the birth is still reported to state and feds. I am interested to know how the states dictate this process. Other states, the midwife is held accountable to report the birth and a ssn is assigned.
