What a perfect logo for a government agency:

Take a close look at the gears and think about how they might spin. Also note the slogan, "MAKING the city work together". Poor bureaucrats, they just don't get it on so many levels.  However, at least for once we have honesty coming from a government agency, that's all I'm asking. :)

I pointed this out to one the bus drivers, he looked distinctly confused.

Though it's worth noting that the actual bus services are "private" (though heavily bureaucratically involved.)

They probably have similar status to the public–private "authorities" we have in the U.S., e.g., the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) that runs Boston's transit system. They're private corporations when it benefits them (e.g., invoking private property rights to remove people from their stations or attempt to infringe on rights one has in public places), but they're public entities when it benefits them, too (e.g., funding through taxation, having their own police forces).
