When the hedgehog bites down, he squints his eyes, which makes his head spines come forward, which looks scary.  Then when he relaxes his face it has a big smile and cute round eyes.

yeah that lil dude is using every muscle is in body to crush that carrot. ( esp jaw head neck and scalp muscles.)

kinda like a toothless old dude drying to chew steak.
