Detailed questions on NH

I have two important-detailed questions, and one "fun" question to axe of all of you.

1) Internet Service Providers - I'm with Internet America, a Dallas company. It's $19.95 a month. Are there any ISPs in NH that are fairly cheap (cheaper than $19.95) that I can use? Kat, what type of service do you have?

2) Cell phones - I have T-Mobile, with a Dallas number. How will this deal with being all the way up in NH? Do I need to get a new phone, service, etc.?

Fun Question:

What are the chances - since I'm planning a "moving away party" when I leave - of throwing a little FSP-LP-RLC beer-and-greet party when I and possibly other new NH-ites arrive?

I can't drink too much (like, maybe 2 Bud Lights and that's it!), but it'd be nice to have a conglomerate party so I can meet the folks on the forums, etc., etc.

(and of course flirt with the girls I've been talking to lol)

We can more than make up for you light drinking. ;D

I have T-Mobile started in Connecticut. I have used the CT number since moving here but have just changed it to use for work (they don't like making a long distance call to talk to me. Go figure.)

T-Mobile cell coverage is not complete here in NH, even along major roads. Mine disappears just above exit 20 on I-93 and uses a different network in Plymouth and disappears completely north of there.

No coverage between Northwood and Rochester along US-202.
Spotty coverage NH-9 west of Concord.

I use Roadrunner cable modem.  I'm sure there's cheap dial-up, though.  The cable is something like $35/month.

Joey, we have a huge party basically every month for the new movees.  Look at some of the Meet and Greet photos on the wiki.

I'm using Verizon, and when I got here they said I can keep my number including the area code. I will eventually want to change so that it doesn't look like I'm a "foreigner", but it is good to know I don't need to [especially since my cubicle phone is forwarded to my cell and I'll probably never see my cubicle again  :) ]

I'm using spring and it works pretty well.  No major complaints about them over the long haul except that they donate some money to some anti gun cause.  no company is perfect.
