hmm Maybe I should move to Winchester. ;D

Maybe we should establish NHFree headquarters there.  ;D

This is a neat way to turn the tables!

I wonder if the flier that was distributed was funded privately, or through government grants (heh, heh)...

One of the things I like about the reciprocal approach of changing the flier to promote the FSP is the positive outlook regarding greater efficiency and better ethics through private operations of things like schools, and aid to the poor, etc.

I've noticed that using that kind of tack tends to get more people agreeing than hitting hard right off with terms like enslavement. Technically, that's a winning argument, but not necessarily one to be used right off. Conversion tends to be easier with the positive, and a little of the negative thrown in to show how inefficient and morally bankrupt government operations truly are.

Just a few thoughts, hope you don't mind!!

Is there a better term than "co-habitant"?

Also, I can do this in Word 2003 - anybody able to convert to PDF?

Yes, I can.

Maybe we can say "many/most" FSers....and have some of us sign it......it doesn't have to be perfect.

People like Dawn might not want to be connected to this.

Maybe, most of the FSP wouldn't want to be involved inthis.

which is why I'd like to see another logo used, and more editing ideas.
How would you state the issues?

First draft of text. Comments?

Keeping mind that buzzwords like 'socialist' and 'communist' are preaching to the converted, and not to those who don't understand the issues, I'd soften this up... but hey, I'm not radical enough for this crowd. (grin)

My edits, which you can feel free to ignore:

Quote
?   Free Staters want to end mandatory government indoctrination camps so your children can get decent educations.

Many Free Staters want the best education available for everyone, rather than the mass market factory schooling most kids today get.

Quote
?   Free Staters want children to be home schooled or sent to private schools that do a much better job than government run schools for much less money.

Many Free Staters find that homeschooling and private schools do a better job for less money than your tax dollars do now, spent on public schools.

Quote
?   Free Staters want to aid Veterans, the poor, disabled, and needy by eliminating the socialist programs that enslave them and treat them poorly; allowing private charities to regain their proper place in society.

Many Free Staters want to help veterans, the poor, disabled, and other needy individuals through the best means possible: with minimal bureaucracy and wasted money.  Often, this is through private charities.

Quote
?   Free Staters want to legalize drugs and prostitution.

Some Free Staters want to see victimless crimes, with consenting adults, legalized.  This includes getting rid of the Drug war.

Quote
?   Free Staters want to eliminate Anti-social In-security, Medi-scare, Medicaid, and other communist violations of our Constitution.

Many Free Staters want to eliminate wasteful programs which claim to help people, but really cost more than they help, such as Social Security, Medicare, etc.  Replacing these with better methods to help those truly in need, often without government spending, is a goal.

Quote
?   Free Staters want to reduce government by two-thirds or more so that we can afford police and fire protection as well as food and shelter for our families.
?   Free Staters believe that a truly free market can provide these things better and cheaper than inept socialist bureaucrats.

Many Free Staters want to reduce government spending, to allow everyone to pay less taxes, and afford to provide themselves and their families with better options.  They know that simple economics shows that a free market solution will provide everything now done by government with better services at less cost.

Seth, I like the edits.

Kat, did you get the file I sent last night? Should I attach it here?

What of it?  All those things are true.

Except that we like tax credits. We want tax credits and loopholes big enough to drive a mack truck through. :)

It's very misleading. Private charity is much more efficient and effective then government "charity"
But they completely miss that.

Got the file.  Don't really want to edit it, though.

If you guys don't have a logo already (I know this is an old thread), then from now on, you should use the quip:

:)

Or, go to Bureaucrash.com. They have a ton of anti-statist propaganda and logos you can use. It's hilarious.
