Last year, a group of dedicated activists began the
Liberty Scholarship Fund in New Hampshire. The idea
is to help provide private alternatives to the public
schools. $1,000 scholarships are given to families
who have had children in public schools or are
starting school in NH, who wish to homeschool or send
their children to private school but cannot otherwise
afford to do so. Four scholarships were given out
last year, thanks to the generous donations from
liberty lovers around the nation. This year, we have
three applications for scholarships, but need
approximately $1,300 more to help these three families
escape the public school system. If you can help in
this effort, please visit http://lsfund.org or write
to us at:

Thank you for your time!

I believe the money is dispersed about mid August.

ONE MONTH!

I wish I had known sooner.

I'll try to send $15 or so before then. Might give more, but, I kind-of need to know if enough people will give $15 for this to be successfull. I mean, if it's not going to happen, I don't want to spend too much money on it.

I cross-posted this at the FreeTalkLive and the FSP forums.

I just chipped in. I'll try to give more next week.

I will send a small check on Friday. That is Don's first paycheck. After that, I will have to play with the budget to see when I can give again.

Thanks Kat, and thank you everyone!

Congratulations on your new job, Don!  :)  Thank you for the generous donation!

I chipped in $35 last week, and I always help cover costs such as the website, PO Box, etc.  Unfortunately, I can't afford to give the $200 I wanted to give this week, but I'll try to send in an average of $35 per month.

I suppose I could look at it that way.

Also, (this is off-topic) but Is their a way to donate directly to the EndowMent fund.

Thanks, Cathleen!   :)

Yes, Tracy, you could just tell them you want to donate all of it to the endowment, otherwise only 10% of it will go there.

Sure!  Send in a check written to the "LSF Endowment Fund"!

Or you could go here to donate through PayPal and specify "Endowment Fund".

Thanks!  :)

How close are we? How much more do we need currently, to help these 3 families?
