Cases and shockmounts included.  Mics should be mostly functional.

"Free to a good cause" (like another pro-liberty show start-up), or just free to whoever will pick them up first?  I'm wondering because if autographed those could fetch quite a bit on eBay, depending on their history.

"Mostly functional"? My experience with microphones is that they either work, or don't.

Maybe he means that they somehow became physically damaged such that the plastic diafragm became weak or partially torn. This would lead to scratchy or "tearing" sounds, especially if input is of a high volume. An example is when you have crappy PC speakers and they can't handle the sound if the OS volume is up all the way. BTW, an easy solution to that problem is to turn down OS volume and turn up speaker volume.

If viable, I would suggest ebaying them and giving the $ to the Liberty Scholarship Fund.

I'll put them next to the Presidents First Power Suit, Suzette Kellos Flag, Ed Browns campaign poster, inside the 33 Smith St door on top of the Geretetzky's Piano.

I want one Ian! It would be a nice upgrade from the stick mic I have now, and would save me from having to pull the shotgun off my camera. :)

Take two, in case one isn't working.  I'll hang on to them until you visit in June.

I like that idea. Mark could sign his mic and Ian could sign his and put them up for auction and if Ian does not want the money that they would fetch he could donate the money to a good liberty cause i.e. the Liberty Scholarship, or to another liberty minded organization.

I reserve the right to sell my two autographed Mics at Christie's in 10 years. What's the going rate for the #1 radio talk show's autographed mics, used changed the world? I'm guessing Ian's will fetch 500oz of Gold and Mark's about 400-450oz  only because he was stubborn and dragged his feet for so long! :) Thanks for funding my retirement Ian! :)

I would seriously consider someone storing them for a few years, and then auctioning them off down the road. FTL is going to be huge in a few years, and a lot of people would be interested in them. The holder of the mics could take a cut for storage fees, and the rest could fund. . . ?????

And once the technology is advanced enough, you could use inevitable saliva cells contained therein to clone them.   >:D
