How does Sunday, June 29th sound?

That's kind of funny, because that's the same day as the Pink Pistols Shoot, and I've been going back and forth in my head as to what to spend money on: bike or gun?  gun or bike?  Think I'll go with the bike, and hope I win a gun in the LPNH Raffle to be held at Burning Porcupine next month.

maybe we should have a bicycle tour party of Keene soon
we could map out a relaxed ride and the gang including kids could enjoy the ride
we could pick out really nice roads and some of the bike trails

I'd buy a bike just to participate!

Actually, I appreciate an excuse to go ahead and buy one.  I've gone through multiple periods of coming really, really close to buying one since I moved to New Hampshire (I left my old one behind in Kalifornia), but have always been stopped by a combination of

• 1-BR apartment
• on the top floor
• in an environment where you can only use the thing a few months out of the year
• can't count on it not raining/hailing/wrath-of-godding in the summer
• gained 30 pounds and out of shape
• awful border-of-Mass mall traffic in the hood

  I'll just go ahead and do it, and if necessary, rent some garage/barn storage space from someone when the snow returns.

I found out about it from a flyer in a local coffee shop so perhaps that would be a good way to promote it here at places that allow postings.  I don't yet know which places would be good for that, but I would be glad to make something up and take it around.  Whoever is in the front of the ride can also have a small banner for visibility.  The rides could be planned to take place once a month.  In other places they are planned for times of peak traffic for effect, but I think anytime might be just as well.
