QuoteFYI, the show has definitely been renewed.

It's interesting... Both "Fringe" and "Dollhouse" are being pushed by Fox to hit the Tivo crowd, and NOT the live-viewer crowd. Dollhouse is said to be the lowest-rated TV show EVER to be renewed by a major network, but that DVR and Internet hits were strong enough to keep the show around.

I'm very, VERY happy to see this shift finally happen. I've seen a lot of really good shows cancelled because they don't get a mainstream viewship because of conflicts, bad time slot or whatever.

Another very interesting show that MIGHT see a revival due to interesting revenue models... Jericho. But that is still to be seen. :P

I'm bringing back a dead thread because... well...

If you like Dollhouse, you need to see the Season One + 1 Episode. It COMPLETELY breaks from the story arch that concluded the on-air season but it's an "End of the world" scenario and it's pretty good. :)

Joss has said that Season 2 drops the "New Engagement Every Episode" theme and focuses more on the overall story. Some of the developments in Epitaph One (Episode 13) make me interested to see what happens next. :)

I highly recommend this episode, but there's a scene with Topher that made even me feel all sad. :(

On a (sort of) related note, I watched the pilot and second episode of Defying Gravity on Hulu.

I'm very intrigued. It's got some potentially interesting twists.

Is this Episode 13 available somewhere? I'm feeling lazy today.

FYI, if you buy season 1 on DVD, there's a whole episode that won't be aired.  I don't think I'm going to buy it, though; it's not the kind of show that lends itself to repeat viewings, IMO.  So someone else is just gonna have to buy it and lend it to me.  :D
Kevin, let me know when you're swinging by to loan me the 13th episode.   :icon_pirat:

Ummm... Errr... Ummmm... I think that pirate-like eye patch was relevant...

Wow. Where does it go from here?

Why are shows doing this now? Episodes that are not aired and back story not explored in the show?

I didn't get a link?

Apparently, there are two never-aired episodes on the Season 1 box set.  I wonder if they'll be included on the Netflix discs?

And now, a few words from our Lord and Master Joss Whedon, along with a clip of the ultra-boffo fight scene between Eliza Dushku and Tahmoh Penikett.  [insert impure thoughts here... speaking of which, did anyone besides me notice that Joss apparently learned from his mistake of waiting until the last Firefly episode to take Sean Maher's shirt off... Tahmoh seems to take his off in every freakin' episode.  Thank you, Lord Joss!!   :occasion16: ]

I assumed that you wanted legit copies with the asking to borrow. Perhaps that was a faulty assumption. I'm used to copying being the method of sharing, not lending.

QuoteApparently, there are two never-aired episodes on the Season 1 box set.

I'm seeing that on a few articles, but I don't see the other on any of the torrent sites, and if it was on the DVD with Epitaph One, it would be available. The rumor is that the other episode is the original pilot.

Netflix DVDs have never been different in my experience from the retail boxes, at least on anything I ever rented. Redbox DVDs ARE different, but Netflix has always been the same. So I'd say "Yes".

The original pilot would be Season 1 Episode 0.

I does not have a TV anymore. I missed House for the first time EVAR. This makes me sad.

I just watched this on Hulu. OK, it looks like season 1 was an intro to the show. I'm liking it.
