I recall an interview where they said season 2 will NOT be the "one engagement per episode forumla.

Weadon said he was going to focus more on the overall story arch this season.

I watched the season premiere twice, because the first viewing left me so bummed out I wanted to give it a second chance.  Some comments:

1) This show is a downer!  Where's the awesome and wacky Whedon wit??
2) I really don't like the Paul Ballard character, which is a bummer because I loved Tahmoh on BSG.
3) I can't figure out where the heart of this show is.  It raises all sorts of interesting questions, but doesn't seem to take a position on any of them... or if it does, I'm missing it.
4) The Dr. Saunders character has become very interesting, my favorite part of the show.
5) They brought Victor back; yay!!!  Maybe there's hope for Wash yet?!
6) The engagement of the premiere was so ludicrous, I'm still annoyed by it.
7) Random Jaime Bamber action, and not faking an American accent.   :love4:

The single most important reason to tune in to a TV series, for me personally, is liking the main character(s).  And I'm sorry to say, I don't particularly like ANY of the recurring characters on this show.  I don't know if I'll keep watching.  Hoping teh Joss don't smite me down.   :(

I really liked the 2nd episode.

I'm a bit concerned. Echo herself is becoming a "person" after a fashion. When she DOES serve her term and they put her real personality back, if this goes unchecked, will they be 'killing' echo?

Sex, secrets and 'Dollhouse': Joss Whedon talks about the end of his Fox show
Thursday, December 03, 2009
Quote"Dollhouse," which airs two deliciously twisted and well-acted episodes Friday and additional doubleheaders Dec. 11 and Dec. 18, is likely end up on my year-end Top 10 list. And though its audience is tiny (hence its cancellation; the show checks out for good Jan. 22), it has attracted some hardcore fans, inside and outside the Whedonverse. But the varied reactions of critics and viewers have been as difficult to summarize as the show's central concept, which concerns child-like "dolls" who are "imprinted" for various engagements -- some of them sexual, some of them not.

Season 2 Episodes 7-10 are on hulu.

Joss Whedon's Dollhouse To Return From The Dead (in comic book form)

While the hardcore Whedonettes get themselves all in a tizzy about the news that Dark Horse will be publishing new Angel comics beginning late 2011, suggesting an end to IDW Publishing's control of the franchise, another part of Buffy comics editor Scott Allie's text tease caught my eye: The mention of Dollhouse comics at some point in the future, written by the show's Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen.

I'm bringing back a dead thread because... well...

If you like Dollhouse, you need to see the Season One + 1 Episode. It COMPLETELY breaks from the story arch that concluded the on-air season but it's an "End of the world" scenario and it's pretty good. :)

Joss has said that Season 2 drops the "New Engagement Every Episode" theme and focuses more on the overall story. Some of the developments in Epitaph One (Episode 13) make me interested to see what happens next. :)

I highly recommend this episode, but there's a scene with Topher that made even me feel all sad. :(
I finally saw it yesterday.  Whoa, that was intense!  And sad.  :'(
