There has been some discussion about where and when one is not permitted to video or audio record public officials.  As I was enjoying some leisurely reading with a copy of New Hampshire's revised statutes (ignorance of the law is no excuse, after all), I came across this section, 91-A:2(II), which reads in pertinent part:

QuoteAll public proceedings shall be open to the public, and all persons shall be permitted to attend any meetings of those bodies or agencies...Any person shall be permitted to use recording devices, including, but not limited to, tape recorders, cameras and videotape equipment, at such meetings.

Yep. City counsel and committee meetings are open to the public and may be recorded. Thats why they are and put on TV here in Keene. They are also going to be putting the committee meetings on TV sometime soon too.

Edit: Aren't court hearings and trials public proceedings. It's always iffy about getting cameras in there to record isn't it?
