In the following videos, Sanal Edamaruku, an Indian atheist, challenges a Tantric to demonstrate his powers.  The Tantric vows to use his abilities to kill Sanal.

Yeah, I thought I'd save everyone some time.  I, for one, was on the edge of my seat, waiting in vain for the dude in the bedsheet to utter Sanal's "death sentence."

Explanation as to why it didn't work: Sanal must have had one of his toes pointing up, and one pointing down. This is the most effective way of negating the powers of the tantric. Obviously Sanal knew this ahead of time. It's the only sensible explanation.
