Summary:
Exciting full time position with a market leading Industrial Controls company.
We are looking for a self motivated individual who wants to extend our
leadership, reliability, and reputation that has been cultivated for over 30
years. Company offers a growing, stable work environment, competitive
compensation, and the opportunity to solve challenging problems.


Responsibilities:
-Design, implement, and test software for electronic products used in
industrial environments.
-Responsible for developing software running on deeply embedded devices, and PC
based platforms (primarily to configure and monitor the embedded devices).
-Ensure designs meet requirements including: Function, Reliability,
Performance, and Schedule.
-Support and improve legacy designs. Troubleshoot field returns/problems and
update software based upon lessons learned.



Requirements:
-Four year degree (BSCE/BSCS/BSEE) from an accredited University.

-Significant experience designing embedded software including:
-Efficient, real time, C programming for micro-controllers. PIC18/24 experience
highly desirable.
-Knowledge of communications: Ethernet, USB, RS-485, I2C, SPI, and other
protocols such as email/web serving.
-Skill in creating software with challenging constraints on performance, size,
and hardware cost limitations.
-Strong focus on reliable, analytically correct software construction.
-RTOS programming fundamentals.
-Strong lab troubleshooting/debugging experience.
-Proficiency using In Circuit Debuggers and Oscilloscopes.
-Programming languages:
For embedded designs: Mostly C, assembly when necessary.
For PC based designs: Looking for skills in any of the following: C++,
Java, Tcl, Perl, Python, or any other highly portable (Windows and Linux)
language, capable of creating PC graphical interfaces supporting USB
communications to embedded equipment.


-Excellent communication skills.
-Ability to work effectively in team environment.


Highlight if you have any of the following additional skills:
-Digital/Analog hardware design.
-PCB layout.
-Embedded Linux experience.
-FPGA based system design.



-Must be adaptive, happy to work on Development or Test as needed. Need
someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty in the laboratory.

-Minimal travel required.
-No relocation assistance is available for this position.
