He's Bob Barr's VP running mate. So yeah, nobody important. A neo-con with very little importance even if we cared about him being being a Neocon. That said... Gard is very pissed about him, thinks he's a sellout and so on and so forth, so that interview would be amusing at worst.

He gave Barr airtime and he didn't like him much, not as badly as he dislikes The Rootster though. I guess he wanted to give him a chance to explain some on of his positions that he felt were at an odds with Root's newly professed libertarianism.
He didn't have much chance to go over them with him though. I hope he does come back on.

The guy is way too nice to the guests. It's always fun for the more hardcore of us to get in there and take it to a higher level and do the job for him.

Yes, the Libertarian Party.

Gard expressed on FTL that he's torn over this. On one hand, he thinks that exposing alienated republicans to libertarianism may ignite some of them to get active for liberty. On the other hand, he's pretty damn sure that by "watering down" the LP, it has become something that's not worth even caring about. He bounces between the principled and the pragmatist views. That's probably why he's got the guy on his show.
