I think Dale has been to the Lampost hobbithole.

The award goes to cnht jane .... who has still never gone "all the way out" to Keene. Those Bedford soccer moms don't get around. ;)

Recumbent ReCycler

I haven't made it all the way out to Keene yet either.  I wanted to, but I'm not quite ready.  This past Thursday, I rode my trike 45 miles, which is a new record for me for distance travelled in one day, but I don't think I'm ready to do that kind of distance two days in a row.

We didn't have any of those squeezee things.

I'm sorry that I read too much into the comments, and I must have missed your (plural) point.

I won't be in Grafton for the festivites.  I hope everyone has a great time!

Dale's never been to Grafton, has he?   ;)

I pounded dirt in Grafton with a piece of metal attached to a rod. I told Caleb that I might make a similar house but that I would rent some machines or something. Caleb explained to me that you're not supposed to use fossil-fueled powered machines to do work. You're supposed to use your bare hands and simple tools like the Amish. So if you don't like the rule that it's not real work if you use technology, then take it up with Caleb. :D

actually the best way to build a big rammed earth house is with pneumatic pounders .... but smaller people can handle the manual ones and it better for conversations and for working out the tensions of desk jobs.

Hopefully we can soon offer our desk jockey/cubical slave weekend workout and fresh air sessions in Grafton. We don't even charge much to work out your aggressions. Maybe we can have Dalebert work up pictures of your rotten boss and you can whack is head off with an axe and get some wood chopped at the same time. :)

We dropped off some stuph at the site today and saw the changes.
The grass looks good around the house. The fields look short and green. Looks like the Bs planted flowers along the driveway next to the small crop.

Can someone in Grafton let us use a small mower to do around the fire pit area Monday?

There is some small building or stage construction happening.
Lloyds canopy has been blown over in a big storm. We will have to take it apart and bend some pipes I guess, on Monday. The fire pit area has some grass growing through the dried mud we made the other day.

We put up some more signs.
photos to follow.

we also saw that some of the grafton gang had done some cool electrical work to get some power to the outside of the house

is that too many uses of the word "some"?
