OK, so for those who didn't get the memo, I'm a big geek.   :P  Looking forward to the release of the new X-Files movie on the 25th.  For others who are interested, a DVD is going to be released on July 8th with 8 X-Files episodes "hand-picked by Chris Carter" to provide relevant background info for the movie.  http://www.xfilesrevelations.com/

The truth is out there.   :NinjaIconA:

Waddaya mean, it never "got" anywhere?  It revealed that the U.S. government has been in cahoots with evil aliens for decades, among other nefarious schemes.

Unfortunately, like a lot of cheesy sci-fi, the X-Files failed to hook me on that. I just couldn't get past the sheer amount of willpower needed to accept such a horribly unrealistic plotline.

C'mon! The government EFFICIENT enough to pull that off?!?! Ha!

I'm pretty excited over all for the movie. :D

Don't worry, more often than not they're simply bitching about the coversheets on the TPS reports.

Just wanted to give this one a bump, since I just saw it. I was jumping up and down in anticipation but I was mostly let down.

I will say it gives some closure to the series...

MengerFan

I like the part where Scully tells Mulder that he has a huge cock. Not something you expect from X-Files. The thing with the GW portrait was also funny.

I dug it. Was not that great as a stand alone film, but was cool for the fans wondering, "What the hell are Scully and Mulder up to?"

In a 1/4 filled theater, myself and one other person chuckled at that scene. It must have blown right past others.

Loved that too.

It really left me with a sense of "Things moved on". It was a bit awkward, yet welcome, that neither Mulder nor Scully were a Fed. Mulder, Scully and a brief appearance by Skinner were the ONLY people from the show. Did you see past the credits?

It's good to know that the aging characters I once loved managed to escape off to a tropical island together.
