In Florida they are sending out the Brute Squads to storm the street and make people "feel the fear", even though there is no credible terror threat.? Get used to it people, Police State Amerikka is upon us.

"Deputy Police Chief Frank Fernandez said officers might, for example, surround a bank building, check the IDs of everyone going in and out and hand out leaflets about terror threats."
So what if you are out and about without government ID? I think people have deluded themselves that we don't already have national ID.

Has anyone noticed how the pace has quickened?

I don't think it is our imagination .... but as I stated in another thread .... action is still premature .... we need to educate people. Actually opposing the tyranny is too scary.

I agree, it is definitely premature for action, but preparation is in order.

Russell Kanning

Before we can have preparation .... we need everyone to read a few books (including libertarian sci-fi books) .... then we can discuss our plans to educate the populace .... then we can craft our mission statement. We don't want to actually disobey the government .... they might not like it.

AlanM

Russell, do you have a selected book list?

Russell was making fun of the FSP's Activist Army...that's what the participants were asked to do.   It was all really regimented and secretive.  That's why it failed, not because, like Seth claims, our members are lazy or something.

That story is incredible.  Nothing like that is happening in NH, as far as I know.  FL seems to lead the nation in police state activities.  They're taser happy down there, too.  More people need to refuse to comply, like that woman in CO on the bus.  Make them throw you in jail now.  It's going to be a lot less painful than what's coming later, and might put a stop to it!  They MUST have our willing cooperation.  Please please please read Voluntary Servitude if you haven't already:

I guess I have been hitting a wall when it comes to dealing with people who only want to talk about problems and want to educate the population. What works is action. If the government doesn't like it, then they need to get out of our way.
Like Gandhi said .... we expect them to just walk away. If we say "no" to them, they lose their power. If we just talk about the government and pay our taxes, then they win.

I am curious as to how Florida thinks that sweeps and surveillance will encourage people to be all eyes and ears. Survival might mean contemplating your navel to not look threatening.

I missed the sarcasm entirely. Duh.  ::)

That "mission statement" should have tipped you off.
