Biological warfare
against US troops

Courtesy of Halliburton

Brought to you
by the Bush administration
This is how George Bush and Dick Cheney support the troops. And you can thank Congress for it too while you're at it.

Simple biological warfare - poisoning the troops' water supply - is the most cost effective way of neutralizing the effectiveness of an armed force.

The problem is how do you get to the supply?

In Iraq, that's no problem.

Bush and company have brought in private contractors to provide the water supply to troops and the private contractor, Halliburton, Dick Cheney's former employer, has deemed it unnecessary to provide uncontaminated water to US troops serving in Iraq.

Take the money? Sure. The actual safety of the water? Not our concern.

Neither the flag-waving rabble-rousers of the Bush administration nor the gutless, venal cowards in Congress seem to care about the problem.

Too busy gearing up for the attack on Iran I guess.

All the drinking water is bottled. So I'm not too sure how it's not safe?

The guy in the video was talking about shower water I think, not drinking water.

Wow, talk about a waste of money $99 dollars for a bag of laundry? I'll go over there and wash by hand with a old fashioned scruboard and do it for $30 a bag... and be making pretty damn good money too.

Ok. The shower water wasn't really safe for drinking that's true.
It did smell odd sometimes.
The laundry was shit. I remember many times getting stuff back that smelled moldy. Probably wasn't dried enough.

The problem with that video though is they are putting all the blame on Haliburton.
The problem is that the gov't pays them, gave them the contract, over looks all the waste. While KBR is an unscrupulous company it's the politicians that make all that bullshit possible.

I totally agree!  I think it was a good video and I hope people would realize who is paying Haliburton, you make an excellent point! :)

You do have to be very careful with shower water too... any water that recirculates or stands in a system that isn't really hot (above 122 F I think) or pretty damn cold is prone to getting legionella, which is a more common problem then you might think. Legionella, which is almost harmless when drank, can be deadly if inhaled, this makes it dangerous when it is in water that misted into the air, for example cooling towers, air handler cooling coils, showers, and even drinking fountains have been known to cause deaths.

Huh, I guess I'm lucky to be alive then.
The water tanks did stay pretty damn hot during the summer though.

Nah, I've learned about economics now, I'd charge you and my brother more than $5 a week now! ;D   He fired me anyway after a month, too many of his socks were getting lost. ::)

Wow, I never knew that, thanks! :)  I know that the skin is our largest body organ, (I guess that's what it's called), and takes in a lot of bad stuff in our bodies during a shower if the water is contaminated.

My poor cousin bought this beautiful house in Connecticut quite a few years ago and she found out that there were carcinigens in the well water so she bathed her 2 small toddlers with spring water from the store and did everything with water from the store.  Finally it was driving her nuts and they couldn't afford to fix it so they claimed bankruptcy because they had to sell it a much lower price. :(

The only reason I know much at all about legionella is because I work at a hospital and we have to test for it every so often and do things like eliminate dead ends on plumbing, clean air handlers and condensate pans, run eye wash stations weekly, etc to keep the stuff from growing too much.
