Hi all!  So 2 years ago we moved from NY to NH as part of the first 1,000.  We had our first native porcupine last November.  Now, we bought our first house!  We know this isn't an official move into the state, but thought we'd put it out there for anyone close by to come to our aid.  Unfortunately, I threw out my back last week and won't be much help to Brian.  I will be coralling our kids and directing and cleaning.  It isn't a far move, from north end of manchester to east/south side.  We close on July 31st, so we will be moving Friday Aug 1st (if anyone is around to help Brian) & the rest on Saturday Aug 2nd.  We'll be sure to get some sort of food and beer.

Congratulations on your first home!

I see your move coincides with the beginning of World Breastfeeding Week.  Knowing this crowd, I'm sure you'd get a large turnout to move stuph if you promised an act of civil barebreasted disobedience in solidarity with lactating ladies around the globe.    ;)

How about our first 'Topless Move In'?   I would e willing to do it.  Might gross a few people out, though.

Lloyd's going to be having pleasant visions for weeks now.

I vote for a cupless bustier or the fishnet tank top.

No need to worry about solidarity, as I am a lactating mom...there will definitely be breastfeeding.  Although, I'm sure almost all of this crowd has seen me breastfeeding at numerous events from MVP meetings to PorcFest.  Does anyone think they can make it?  I'm torn about putting it on the calendar...also, I have no idea how to do that...

Scroll all the way down to the bottom.  You should see a list of links for the topic:

Seems like we have several people moving around the state at the end of the month.  Kate, Dale, and I are also moving.  Going to be a busy week.

Judging by the pictures from the naked fire dance you may have to work on getting some tassles to liven up things...oh and the sox would have to go!

I'll be around, I think, and I can help, if someone tells me where to go!

DETAILS:  moving Saturday Aug 2nd from 35 N Adams St. Manchester to 106 Mammoth Rd. Manchester.  We will need help at both ends of the trip (it is about 4 miles apart).  We will try to start loading the truck around 2pm (after MVP meeting).  We are not far from the MVP meeting, so hopefully people will be able to come after and help either load or unload.  We will get pizza afterwards and make sure to have some beer and soda.  A HUGE THANKS to anyone who can make it, and even better if you can let me know.

This is just to say Thanks to everyone for helping out.

We had 20+ people helping to load the truck at one end, and 12+ to unload at the other.
Sorry I didn't have the foresight to have beer at the apartment when we were loading the truck, or maybe it wasn't a mistake.  It wasn't too hot and the apartment was empty in under an hour. Special thanks to Chris and John for manhandling that Giant TV down the stairs from the second story.  And to Ron for helping me get it into the new house. Oh, also thanks to Eli and Morey for driving the truck after I scraped a telephone pole and freaked out about driving the damn 26' truck.

General notes on attendance:

8 persons not at the age of majority,
2 homeschoolers,
2 porcs in utero,
2 little minnesootans,
1 religious gundamentalist,
1 porc originally from out of country,
1 state rep,
1 candidate for state rep,
1 former MVP leader et ux

and others.

So a quick note for all prospective movers (to Manchester), do so after the MVP meeting on the first Saturday of the month.
