Guy should get a reward. In fact, we should set up a fund (with all our spare cash  ) to give prizes to people who legitimately defend themselves. May help them defray their legal expenses, and encourage the next person to defend themselves (and therefore defend the next potential victim, something that is usually forgotten in newspaper accounts and "good advice" from police... if one person gives in, they encourage the criminal to start a "career").

Maybe at first it should just be for women who use a gun to defend themselves? (Unless there's too much spare cash lying around  )
